interventioncentral.org

As part of my online staff collaboration action research I shared the interventioncentral.org website that we've been checking out as a group.  I've also narrowed down my first case scenario of putting RtI in place with a few children.  I'm trying to decide for sure which student to actually document.  My intervention is called Bullies:  Turning Around Negative Behaviors.  My plan is to ensure the class understands the definition of bullying, confront students engaged in bullying in a firm but fair manner, provide appropriate and consistent consequences for bullying, and develop a reward chart for the student who bullies.  They will put a sticker on their chart for each day that I do not have any reports from other teachers or from students.  When they manage to collect 2 stickers in a 4 day period, the student can redeem them for a prize or privilege.

  1. Great idea sharing the interventioncentral website! I've found it really informative, but I figured that many teachers will have used it already. I shouldn't assume anything, and I will make sure to share it with our staff in the coming months.

I've picked my student, but only seeing him a few days a week for a short period of time will limit the interventions that work well for me. I'm interested to hear how your intervention works for you!
