Ubuntu is not finished

Although I have finished the book Ubuntu, there is a lot yet to do to put it into place.  One of the quotes from the book was "As long as there are people who feel like 'little people' Ubuntu is not finished."

I do not honestly know what my co-workers want in life (including at work).  It has been a little easier the past few days to try and learn that, because the kids haven't been around.  We can actually talk to one another, and I was surprised at what I already didn't know.

I heard John say in the book that "I'm not quick to take over."  He has to trust the work the others are doing.  That for me is going to be huge.  I found myself guilty of thinking that way yesterday right after I finished the book and guilty of taking over jobs others were suppose to have done.  On a scary note, there was one minor task that I did NOT stay even later to accomplish, trusting that my co-worker will remember on Tuesday and have it done like she said she would for Wednesday.

My goals for the coming month are:
1.  Treat others with respect and dignity
2. Make the environment fun
3. Create a community of gratitude where all are equal
4. Make a place of renewed energy
5. Allow others to have that sense of accomplishment, pride!
