This time of year has me doing a lot of reflecting on how far we've come in class and how far we have yet to go. You can tell Spring is in the air. Friendships are building and those who are struggling are really popping out from the rest of the class. We're currently working on class lists for next year and thinking ahead to registration for the incoming four year olds.
I recently attended a conference in the Dells on RtI for Preschool. It gave me much more to consider. My list for summer things "to do" includes more research on early ed. One of my mini-workshops was on the social emotional learning of young children. I was proud to say that I've already incorporated many of their "interventions" into my classroom, although there again there's always room for improvement.
My research paper is back in my hands so I can put the final touches on it before sending it to the external reviewer. I have also been busy lately looking up online resources to recommend to both my online community and my school community. It is that time of year with no dull moments.
