SMART goals revised

(revised-January 5, 2011)
  •  I will attend a SMART board class this school year so that I can enhance my knowledge of the interactive whiteboard capabilities.  This will help me to improve technology and use SMART software in a variety of ways to enhance student learning throughout the Creative Curriculum objectives.  My responsibility is to feel more comfortable with the technology in my classroom and to help my co-workers by developing one theme related lesson per month.

  • I will apply meaningful age appropriate material by organizing my filing cabinet so that I can relate the 50 creative curriculum objectives to my lesson plans and be responsible for leading the entire 4k program.  I will assess myself at both parent teacher conferences (October and March) and create a portfolio for each student so that I document the student’s strengths and weaknesses throughout the year.

  • I will research, study, and learn about different disabilities so that I can become more knowledgeable in meeting my students’ needs.  In the next 2 years I will work with my SpEd team and families of children with EBD, ADD, ADHD, and Down Syndrome to help the students make gains based on the goals addressed in their IEPS.
