Turning the Corner

I catch myself every day at work being negative about something, why can't I stop it before it starts??  Anyway, after finishing the book The Energy Bus, I feel like I'm on the right bus with my morning preschoolers.  My afternooners may hopefully be turning the corner, but as for my team of co-workers I think we may be in reverse.  I have a lot to do to get them on the bus and headed for the right direction, but the good news is I have some ideas.  I think I'm going to start with "Secret Snowman" for the rest of January giving some little pick-me-ups.  And then, I'm thinking of starting a pot-luck sign-up for our inservice coming up.  Food usually goes well with my team, and maybe we can fuel our bus before discussing a vision for us as a team.  On a good note, a teammate and I led a "Kindergarten Buddies" project yesterday and it went over very well with the kids and staff.  I'm hoping others will see that it was fun to ride the bus together!

  1. Karen,
I am so impressed with your initative and the way you complete assignments so thoroughly and quickly. I often find myself looking to your posts on DL2 and Blogspot when I'm not sure how something should be completed. Your Smart Goals are a good example and so is your recent post about The Energy Bus.

  2. Karen-
I love the idea of the "Secret Snowman!" You put so much energy into helping your coworkers, and this post shows how you keep it all positive even though it can be draining! Keep us updated on the Kindergarten Buddies project, too!
