The Jellybean Conspiracy
is a two-act show with songs, dances and poems that is part of a bigger
“conspiracy” to offer the viewer “a glimpse at the world as it could
be, a culture of kindness, where every person finds a place to belong.”
The Jellybean Conspiracy is simple. People are like
a glass jar filled with jellybeans. They come in all different sizes,
shapes and colors. Each one is special.
It sounds as if the plays can be downloaded directly from their
website and are typically about disabilities and the view points of
their family members. This particular show that the teacher saw that
day was put on by a local high school drama club and students with
developmental disabilities such as down syndrome and autism. The
website says to check back soon, but it does contain contact information
for those wanting more information on the "jellybean conspiracy".
